Rhon Ernest-Jones has over 50 years of diversified experience in the fields of project and program management, business management, civil engineering, construction and cost estimating, land planning, environmental engineering and transportation engineering. He is a licensed professional engineer, licensed general contractor, and is qualified in the Circuit Courts as an expert witness. He has been responsible for professional project management, civil engineering, land planning and transportation engineering services for public and private projects, FDOT/County eminent domain appraisal contracts, expert witness services, and due diligence reports. His career has included over 500 Land Development, Public Infrastructure and Transportation projects.

Rhon served as Mayor of the City of Coral Springs from 2004 to 2006, and served as a member of the Broward County Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) during that time, as well as serving on the Broward County Management and Efficiency Study Committee. He chaired the Advisory Committee for the Broward County Transit Development Plan, and served on the MPO Community Involved Roundtable. While Mayor, Rhon was responsible for the creation of the Coral Springs Community Redevelopment Authority, and served as one of its Engineering and Planning consultants. Accomplishments during his term as Mayor include leading the City to win the Florida Governor’s Sterling Award, the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award and a AAA credit rating, and overseeing the issuance of several municipal bond issues.
